This beach is open to all comers. It’s interesting to note that the lack of hotels on this beach can be regarded as its lack and as an advantage. In any case, there is only a small beach restaurant and a center for water sports. Many believe that on this beach there are the highest waves in the Punta Cana area. It is also the best beach in Punta Cana for a romantic photoshoot.
2. Uvero Alto Beach
It is a very beautiful, but a little-known beach. However, this beach also can bear the title of the best beach in Punta Cana. Uvero-Alto has yellowish sand and offers a more relaxed atmosphere than other beaches in the region. Outside the hotels beach territory you will find only a few tourists and locals, holidaymakers on the beach. Uvero-Alto is located in the west of the resort zone, then do not be surprised with the presence of high waves here, which are ideal for surfing, but can be dangerous for small children.
3. Bavaro Beach
Bavaro Beach is the main tourist beach and the most famous one in the Dominican Republic. This beach is free to enter. Therefore, it is very crowded. This beach offers several kilometers of soft white sand, the amazing feature of which is that it does not heat up in the sun. Therefore, you can walk barefoot in the soft sand and not be afraid of getting your feet burn. The beauty of Bavaro beach is proven by the fact that Oscar de la Renta and Julio Iglesias have houses in the area.
4. Juanillo Beach
This beach is ideal for families with children. Juanillo beach is located in the exclusive area of Cap Cana, in a private area with resort hotels, restaurants and a marina. On the beach there is an excellent expensive restaurant. Palm trees along the beach, great soft sand, not crowded.
5. Esmeralda Beach
This beach is extremely great. It’s a bit far from Bavaro but we highly recommend to go here and enjoy this insanely great ocean. We think it’s really awesome, isn’t it? The water is so blue, you can’t even imagine. It’s crystal-clear and what’s the most important thing about it?! Nobody is here. It’s almost abandoned. There is some developments nearby but still it’s wild and superb.
